Busy, busy, busy

Ethan had another GREAT day at school! His teacher said he was much better at following directions!

Here are some new things going on in The Amanda Jo household:

  • Found out yesterday that our lease is up on the 6th of November, not the 30th. So the scramble is on to put in our ridiculous 60 notice and find a new home to rent. Please pray that the Lord's will would be clear to us when choosing a suitable home.

  • Ethan is now going to a daycare part time. My mom can't pick him up from school and keep him since her job is now requiring more of her time. Ethan is so excited to be able to go to a place with more kids to play with!

  • David is going to apply for a new job Friday. This job would change EVERYTHING for us - EVERYTHING! Please PLEASE please pray that the Lord would pour His grace upon us and bless us with this job - things have been so tight for so long, it would be great to have some rest in the area of finances.

  • I am going to be trying to lose weight - AGAIN. As you can probably tell, I'm not very good at making this goal and sticking with it. I have more weight to lose than I'd like to admit to but it needs to be done, especially if David and I want to have a child naturally. So, today I'm going to be researching how to do the "exchange" program. I hear Weight Watchers used to use it until the late 90s. Anyway, it's time to get this monkey off my back - that and I have a super formal wedding to go to in January and I want to look smokin' - a lot of my elementary and junior high friends will be there!

  • Due to a very busy next couple of months, it looks like the next Women's Ministry Bible Study for the church will be in January. Between moving (in Nov), National Night Out, Fall Festival, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Cantata, etc. I don't' think there will be enough time for me to prepare properly, let alone teach!

So, that's what happening in my world. What's up in yours?

I with you on losing the weight...It is so hard! :o) Keep us updated on your husband's job situation. I will be praying for you both. P.S.- Do you really have a "Zack Morris" phone? Personally, I think that makes you very cool!

Glad to hear things are going well..we will remember to pray for your hubbie's job. I'm also on WW and so far have lost 11 pounds in 2 weeks and haven't even started the exercising part yet! (That's next week.) I highly recommend it, although I don't do the meetings part..I just bought the materials I needed off of ebay..however, if group support is important to your weekly goals, I hear the meetings are good as well!

As for dinner..I'm open to most any day, but Wednesday nights this coming month, as long as Lance is in town to watch the kiddos. Let me know what you're schedule looks like!

I just HAD to tell you about www.myfitnesspal.com I used WW for a year & it worked great but I was looking for something that didn't cost me anything but still had all the tools! This was it and I LOVE it. I lost about 10 lbs on it a few months ago & I am starting it right back up next week. It is calorie counting instead of the point system but super easy & TOTALLY works. I'll be praying for daves job too! Stay in touch & let me know if you check it out! =]

WHO-HA that's a lot. As for me...

My husband has two cars (more actually but those are toys and these are working cars). One is in the his shop and is almost back on the road after becoming a Honda sandwhich a few months back, but the old Merceides (the one I backed into) is now on the fritz. Paul Drives for a living... so he's taking me into work every morning, I'm bumming a ride home off of roomates and co-workers home, so that Paul can go to his shop and make progress on getting on Honda on the road after work. - It should be on the road next week.

My sister, who has always lived very close to my mother in Vancouver B.C. is moving across the province!

(I don't know why I submited that, I wasn't done).

Anyway, my sister is moving across the province, so we are going up to Canada this weekend for some family fun. With my sister moving 7 hours away, while Paul and I are moving to Arizona in January, 3-4 days or an air plane ride away, my parents are starting to freak out a little bit.
