A Good Weekend for All!

I had such a great weekend!

I was able to attend the Women's Ministry Consultation at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with some of my closest friends from church. Not only did I have a great time just out and about...I got to learn alot and was REALLY encouraged.

As you all know we're going through kind of a rough patch with Ethan right now and spiritually (not to mention emotionally) I've been going through some yuck. Well the overall theme for this conference was James 1:2-4

Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

That verse, and the teaching that came with it, was EXACTLY what I needed to hear. I was so excited to hear from the Lord through that verse. I know He ordained it perfectly for me to go. There were a few snags that I hit in being able to attend (1) paying the $89 to go and (2) coming up with childcare for Ethan.

Without giving details - the Lord provided both of these PERFECTLY! What a blessing it was!

Anyway...

Ethan also had a GREAT weekend! His meds seem to really be helping. We're very optimistic that he'll be able to live a normal life with the help of this medication. We'll keep ya posted!!
