Goings On

This is the line I had to wait in yesterday to register Ethan for preschool. Sadly, I by the time I found my way to the end of it they had the principal inform all of us that we would need to come back in the next day (today) and try to register again. Registration was from 3-7pm, I got there at 5:30 (some of us gotsta work). I met a couple of ladies who were on step 45 of 900 (ok, 5 of 8) who had been there since 3:30. The felt really bad for me.

Today, I'm going to try to leave work about 10 in order to get to the school 45 minutes early. Hopefully I'll be near the front of the line this time around. I think Starbucks will make the wait tolerable.

See this little guy? This is Ethan's half-brother Ty when he was about 2 months old. Isn't he a cutie in his little bow tie?

After my *not pregnant* fiasco David and I started talking about adopting again. It went something like this:

Amanda: You know, maybe we're supposed to be adoptive parents. I wouldn't mind adopting again.

David: Yeah, maybe you're right.

Amanda: We should look for a newborn girl. Wouldn't that be fun?

David: I wouldn't mind adopting a teenage boy.

Amanda: (shocked, but not really) We're 25. What would we do with a teenager? You're just looking for somebody to play video games with.

I love my husband.

While we were visiting family in Oklahoma my parents threw out the idea of David and I adopting sweet little Ty. We agreed when we found out my sister was pregnant again that we would adopt Ty, just like Ethan, if we were given the opportunity. Apparently, after my sister moved here, her ex-boyfriend/baby's daddy decided to leave their son with his parents and they are starting to sound like they might want to speak with David and I about taking him. I know the Lord's timing is perfect, maybe the reason we went through the 'not pregnant' thing was to prepare us to take little Ty in.

We're praying hard about this since most of our feelings are based on assumptions about the paternal grandparents. I can't wait to see what the Lord is doing here. We might have another baby soon! Lord willing!

Your blog is so wonderful. It is so exciting to see all that is going on in your life. I cannot wait to get some time and really sit down and read all God is doing. I am so thankful that God has used C.J.'s book to transform your life. He did the same with mine. And I will be praying for your pastor and his wife. How exciting that even in tragedy, God is able to meet your pastor's wife in her time of need. What a good God we have! Thank you for all of your encouragement. You are TOO kind. The Lord is so great to bring us "together" in the blog world. I pray someday I may get a chance to thank you in person!

God Bless you!
