Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,
for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
And let steadfastness have its full effect,
that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
James 1:2-4
David lost his job today.
It was very unexpected and comes at a very VERY bad time.
This job has been very difficult for our family.
Despite the long work hours and pay that just doesn't
seem fair, we've always been thankful that David
at least had a job.
The silver lining in this cloud is that:
1. I have my husband back
2. We will get to see God's amazing provision and give Him more glory
3. If we keep in Him we will become more like Christ, that's what I really hope happens through this
4. There's a chance for David to get a MUCH better job
(hey, maybe this next one will allow me to be a SAHM)
We know that God is sovereign and that He will provide
for all of our needs but
{please excuse me while I indulge in being sinful human for a moment}
when you're staring those
needs in the face they are pretty intimidating.
David and I need to keep in mind that He is bigger
than any problem this world can dish out.
So yeah, I 'm going back to being in denial so I can get through this work day without tears.
I'll update more soon.

Amanda,
I'm so sorry. That totally stinks. I will be praying that God will show up in a huge way and totally rock your world...and until then, that He will give you and David peace and provision.
love you.
