I want to be like Christ!

My friends and I had a wonderfully refreshing time at the True Woman Conference.

My favorite part was simply worshipping the Lord with other godly women.

I loved hearing from Crawford Lorttis, Nancy Leigh Demoss and Mary Kassian.

Kay Arthur's talk was by far the most convicting for me.
(Oh, to spend 30 minutes over coffee with her...)

She asked many great questions:
"What are you boasting in?"
"What is your influence?"
"Are you raising your children to walk in righteousness and to restrain themselves?"
"Are you a woman seeking love?"
"When was the last time you wept over the harlotry going on in this world?"

But the question that I've been mulling around ever since the conference is,
"What kind of woman do you want to be?"

I want to be a woman like Ruth, like the Proverbs 31 Woman and the Beth Moore all rolled into one!

I want to be a woman of good character.
I want to have faith and peace during hardships.
I want to work hard.
Love with my whole heart.
I want to love, honor and submit to my husband.
Raise my son to be a godly young man.
I want to serve others.
I want to have a deep love and knowledge of God.
I want to have big blonde hair.
I want to be humble.
I want to be godly.

I do not want to be brash.
I do not want to be overly opinionated.
(note I did not simply say opinionated.)
I do not want to be agressive.
I do not want to be lazy.
I do not want to be disrespectful.
I do not want to be self absorbed.
I do not want to be materialistic.

I want to be like Christ.
