The busy season in the Kennedy home is fast approaching and I. Am. Excited!
I love Fall. The crisp, cool days. Spice scented candles. Pumpkins. The changing leaves.
Love it. But it is always busy for us! We have birthday galore, fall festivals, school obligations as as well as many many many many many other things.
Here are a few of the things we have coming up 'To Do List' style:
1. List and gather all things needed for camping on the 9th.
2. List and gather all things needed for Ethan's 6th birthday party on the 24th!
3. Find costumes for my cousin's birthday costume party!!!
4. Find a local Christian ministry to serve at on Thanksgiving - we're trying something new this year.
Do you guys have any good ideas for a Medieval birthday party?? Here's what I've got so far...
All the kids will be invited to come dressed as a knight or a princess. Parents are welcome to dress the part as well but it's not required.
Food
Fried Dragon Toes - Chicken Fingers
**I need help with side items**
Moat Water - Lime Sherbet and Ginger Ale punch
Castle Cake
Activities
Slay the Dragon Pinata
Knighting Ceremony w/craft (making shields and/or princess hats)
Sword Fight (Free play with Styrofoam swords)
....and that's all I've got for now!
Do you have any good ideas for activities, food or decorations?!?! I'm so NOT a gifted party planner!!!

What cute ideas for the party!!! I looked and found this idea online:
"Find the King's Treasure"
Hide gold covered chocolate coins. Explain to the guests that The Royal Treasure has been scattered through out the land. They must retrieve the coins and place them back into the treasure chest, which is an aluminum foil covered shoe box. After all of the coins are collected they can be dividing up evenly.
Oh! I can try to make E a a "knight vest"! Like the little vest with the red cross on it, like in this picture:

I bet you could also find some stuff at Rebecca's. Let me know if I can help out in ANY way! lovin' ya!
a run for the ring game would be fun cut some cardboard rings and paint them gold, and they could run at them with pool noodles as their lance, tape them to long strings of crepe paper and hang them in an open doorway or from a carport.
i found at our party that the goldfish crackers a HUGE hit even the pickiest partygoer cant resist King's Gold fish Crackers
have fun and remember, keep it simple, dont plan too much and just let the kids have fun.
you can plan our parties anytime! i am so excited!!! can i come?
:) teehee
what great ideas!
Sounds like great ideas already! I agree with the others in that you want to try and keep it simple and not try to cram too much. Maybe 1-2 games tops, that way the cake and opening presents isn't too rushed..
I'm sorry we're gonna miss it!
