Thankful

I know I post often about my desire to be a stay at home mom but today I feel an overwhelming thankfulness and joy with where I am working. I usually feel extremely thankful for my job and joyful to be here but today I really feel overwhelmed by where the Lord has me.

I work with godly men and women whose greatest desire is to serve the Lord and make His name known. It amazes me how much this workplace feels like a church family....we laugh together, cry together, celebrate ministry and, greatest of all - we worship together!

As the receptionist for the SBTC, I get kind of an overview of the ministries going on here. We have a department dedicated solely to helping people affected by natural (and unnatural) disasters. The people who serve in this ministry are the most selfless people I know. They work long hard hours for very little or no pay at all. For the most part it's a thankless job, behind the scenes to other organizations like The Red Cross and Salvation Army. Still though, we were there for Katrina, Ike, 9-11 and the Tsunami that ravaged Indonesia.

We have another department that plants churches, assists those who plant churches and even provides training and retreats for church planters and their families.

We can't forget about our mission mobilization unit as well as our evangelism teams. Through these two ministries our little state convention reaches hundreds of thousands of people for Christ a year!

This is just a little bit of what my workplace does.

I am so thankful that I have a chance to serve the Lord through this ministry. I hope that I am a breath of fresh air for all of these servants of the Lord!

So nice to listen to someone being joyful and finding thankfulness.

Sounds like a wonderful place to work! And Way To GO YOU for choosing to see the goodness in your job, and the good that you and your co-workers can do. Everyone should try this!

God bless-
