- Searching for schools that specialize in children with behavioral disorder.
- Continuing to seek Special Education assistance from the school district he is currently in. We have our ARD (Admission, Review & Dismissal) Meeting on Thursday...hopefully some decisions will be made there that will help him.
- Requesting another psych evaluation from his doctor at The Child Study Center. The violence has gotten out of hand, we're hoping they can give us some more tools to help (such as a restraint of some sort that we can use for time-outs since most of his "fits of rage" come when he's being disciplined).
- David and I are starting to require at least one night a month for US. We have to make sure our marriage stays strong and that we're on the same page while we are raising him. Wish us luck finding a baby sitter! HA! (Hey, do you want to baby sit for us?)
- I've also got to work a little harder on our family schedule and making sure that we're absolutely consistent with it. I know we've been a little wishy washy on it lately.
- Last but not least: Keeping the faith. I've gotta start getting with the program (5:16 Club) again....it really is the only time I have free to spend at the feet of my Savior.
Anyway...thank you guys SO much for reading me gripe and whine about my life on here. While I'm not thrilled about the direction this blog is going, this is my life. This is the hand that God has ENTRUSTED me with and I will be thankful for it and not ashamed.
As you can tell, mentally I am going through a lot right now so please forgive me if I'm really only focusing on blogging about Ethan right now. Not only does it help me to focus on what's going on (by writing it all out) I really do need (and love) the encouragement I get from all of you. Especially from the others out there who have special needs children!
With all that said, I am hopeful again. I know my Lord and I know what He has promised...to prosper me, to help me, to spend eternity with me, to relieve me of my burden, to work all things out for good and (most importantly) He will redeem me!
Thank you for being here...thank you for supporting us...loving us...befriending us....
We're a mess around here but, like our family motto says "We treat you like family, but come anyway..."

I will definitely be praying for you. I can't even imagine. Stay strong. The Lord is your provider and will work all things for His glory!
still praying, and i will be every time i think of you. which is often since i listen to the hilltopper compilation in my car, just like you , oh and fyi theres another on in the works, so reserve your free copy today. just kidding, youre probably the only person that would reserve one then i would feel bad about my compilation cd and wonder why noone likes me.
Definitely praying for you. In a way, I understand. My sister is autistic so we got to see some violence growing up too. It's not fun, I know. I can tell you have such a sweet and compassionate heart toward your wonderful son.
You have such a patient and trusting spirit about this situation that I know has to come from the Lord. I know He is using this time to build you and and David up and to show you as witnesses to a lost world that is wondering how you can deal with it all. Stay strong my sister in Christ's strength, and I am here if you ever need me.
I will pray for your family. I think the night out with your hubby is a great idea!
By the way, you are hilarious - I love the man with the comment sign!
