Thank you all for you well wishes and prayers - the Lord was gracious to me and I didn't have to clean up any tossed cookies, not even once! My little guy seems to be on the up and up though so we'll see how things go as the day goes on. Thanks again!
Friday night was pretty uneventful and I resented it. I was really in the mood to go out and do something but no plans had been made so I cleaned up the house. I should have taken that time to really enjoy the peace and quiet but, I had no idea what the rest of my weekend would hold.
Saturday the family and I just hung around the house until 1 and David and I headed out my friend's wedding. Congrats Mr & Mrs Nygaard!!

While David and I were at the BEAUTIFUL wedding, Ethan got sick in my aunt's Jeep (we're a Jeep family, my mom even drives one!). Anyway. We got back from the wedding to a poor little sick guy.
That night David went fishing with the husband of one of my good friends. They left at like 6pm and didn't get home until 2am. They had a great time and found out that they have A LOT in common! I praise the Lord that David has another friend who loves the Lord!!!
While David was gone fishing, I tried to finish watching the rest of The Thin Man collection while conquering Laundry Mountain. I love The Thin Man, it's such a cute movie and it really helped pass the time away while David was gone.
I also got a call that night that I would need to substitute teach for Sunday School the next day so I scrambled to get a lesson together. Praise the Lord, it went well!!!
Sunday morning I got up to a sick kiddo who ruined our couch. I'm not kidding. It was fruit punch and the couch is ruined. Anyway, it was great timing because my Aunt and Uncle brought us a new one (my aunt's sister was giving it away) and we were going to sell the one that is now ruined. We're not going to sell it now, obviously.
Anyway, David and E took a nap on Sunday afternoon and I headed out for coffee with an old friend from high school, Yasmin. It was a great visit!
Since January we (Yasmin & I) have been talking about God a lot. She's an atheist whose mom is Catholic and her dad is Muslim. It's an interesting combination of religious views in her house. Needless to say, she's very confused. I praise the Lord that I've been give numerous opportunities to share the Gospel with her - while she's somewhat sceptical she's open to it.
I gave her these bits of advice, let me know if you all think they are solid: First, don't search for what "fits" or "feels right"; search for the truth and don't stop until you find it. Next, focus on answering these questions from the Bible: Who is Jesus? What did He do? Why did He do it?
Once she has answered those questions I told her to keep reading the Bible and start going to church. I told her to find a church that preaches the Truth from the Bible and does not add to it or take away from it.
Finally, I told her to pick a day once a week or a couple of times a month and we would meet regularly on that day to discuss what she's reading, going through and the church she's visiting.
Please pray that the Lord will save her!
Monday I stayed at home with Ethan and everything seemed to be going better. He was holding down food and was back to his usual antics. So Tuesday morning we decided Ethan was well enough to go back to daycare and I could head back to work.
I dropped him off and headed back home to get ready for work and just before I was able to get into the shower his babysitter called. I had to go pick him up, his oatmeal wasn't "sitting well". So, yesterday, I was at home with him again. Today, David is at home with him and if things continue to go well he will go back to daycare tomorrow.
So that has been my week. So far.
Tomorrow I am going to answer some more questions like I did here. There's still time to get your questions in so if you want to know something about me, just ask!
Oh, and one more thing. Why do they have to schedule the All Star Game the same night as a really good documentary? If you know me, you know I'm a sucker for baseball and documentaries. I should call John McCain about this, maybe he can pass a new law or something. Oh, and Josh Hamilton is my new hero - check out his story. I'm so glad he's a Ranger!

Sounds like you're being an awesome witness to your friend and asking her great questions. I firmly believe that when we seek His truth, we will find it. I love your sweet heart to see her come to know the Lord. (o:
That is awesome that you have gotten to sow some seed into your friend's life :)
Regarding the couch, try Oxiclean. It takes out anything!

Glad to hear your little one feels better..anytime you have a night where you want to go out and have nothing planned, give me a call!! I have lots of those! Alot of times I'll call Tiffany, but she travels so much, I'm usually hanging dry and just wind up going out for some "mommy" time by myself!
I'm glad Ethan seems to be doing better! Hope it continues.
I'll be praying for your friend.
Wow. A wedding and fishing and the Thin Man? Now THAT is what I want to do! :)
I'll be praying for you and your friend.
Bless your heart, you busy momma! I hope your little boy is completely recovered soon!
And thanks so much for your "BADGER!" comment...I laughed my head off and I don't even know why! I wish more people would leave theirs...you and Sarah Mae are the only two that are not related to me! :)
Sounds like you had a very eventful weekend. Sorry to hear that your little boy is still under the weather. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
To answer your question, yes my husband will be a police officer. We watch a lot of Cops, too. :)
OMW! After I read that article on Josh Hamilton I was getting ready in my bathroom with the radio on and KLOVE was talking about him! How coinkidink is that? Wow, he's doing a great job! The Lord is definitely blessing his faithfulness and obedience!
