This is an old blog from...oh, about April. Back before I had very many readers. I thought I would repost it for all of you who missed it the first time!
Before I go...I hope you all have a GREAT weekend!
My Son & Hookers
It's not what you're thinking...I promise!

It all starts about a month ago when David and I took Ethan fishing for the first time. We were introducing him to all of his new gadgets, "this is a hook...this is a sinker...here is your bobber...".
About an hour into it we hit a snag and broke the line on his pole. First thing he said, well yelled, when we brought out the line with out a hook or sinker on it was "WHERE IS MY HOOKER?!" We tried to explain to him that it was A HOOK and A SINKER and please don't morph the two into one word.
I thought that would be the end of that problem...not so...
Kate and I were shopping at Marshall's with Ethan a couple of weeks later. He's always wild in stores so all the attention was already on him. We finally got him to be a little quieter when suddenly he points at an elderly lady across the room and yelled "IT'S A HOOKER!!"
Through my horror I scolded Ethan for yelling and told him to stop saying hooker. Kate, like any good friend would do...WALKED AWAY. She was cracking up and didn't want him to see it.
I don't really know why he called that poor lady a hooker, she must have been carrying a clothes hanger or something.
To top it off, he spent the rest of the time we were in the store he had his finger bent into the shape of a hook and was singing "I'm a hooker...I'm a hooker...".
It was a glorious outing.

Heehee. Your son cracks me up. :-)
funzies taking the kids out shopping isnt it. D has a habit of making up "silly words" but all too often the "silly words" sound too much like real naughty words, euphimisims for body parts and such. we had to institute a no silly talk at church or in the library rule.
** disclaimer: we dont use bad words so they are in fact silly words, unless hes been around Aunt Mae (love ya Aunt Mae)
Ah, so glad to read about this one and not have experienced it! (no offense!) The humbling life as a mother huh?
Many blessings-
Amanda
